MEET OUR TEAM

Owner & Director

Born and raised here in Mesquite, Leah is the proud owner and director of Rhythm DC! She officially took the reins in 2018 and has been pouring her heart into this dance community ever since. Leah taught full-time until 2023, when she welcomed her 3rd baby to the crew — now she’s the magic working behind the scenes. Her favorite part of the job is watching dancers light up on stage and fall in love with performing. Rhythm is her happy place — and she hopes it’s yours too!

Founder & Instructor

Anna started Rhythm in her living room in 2016 with a big dream and a lot of heart. By 2017, things took off — she signed the first studio contract and hired Leah as an instructor later that year! In 2018, she stepped back to focus on her family, but rejoined our team in 2023. Her classes are filled with warmth and plenty of sparkle. Her background in ballroom from her college days helps her bring so much elegance and poise into the studio. Anna is one of the reasons Rhythm feels like home.

Instructor

Ms. Frankie does it all — from general level classes to competition team coach, and even our late-night adult drop-ins, she's in the studio the most! She joined Rhythm in 2022 and quickly became Leah’s right-hand woman (“In Frankie we trust”). With experience on collegiate dance teams, Frankie brings just the right mix of structure, strength, and shine. She’s loyal, organized, and always shows up with the best energy. Her classes are full of sass, jazz, and confidence — the dancers (and parents!)  adore her. She’s uplifting, dependable, and so much fun to dance with.

Instructor

Ms. Kinlee joined Leah + Rhythm in late 2018 — back when it was just the two of them holding things down! She spent years teaching and helping wherever needed, and as her family grew, her role shifted to personally supporting our dancers with special needs. She now attends their weekly classes with them and offers private instruction when needed, giving each dancer her full heart.

Kinlee has the softest, most welcoming presence and brings a calm, gentle balance to the Rhythm DC team. She’s a constant in our studio family and has played such a special role in helping shape our studio.

Instructor & Studio Support

Valory joined Rhythm DC in 2022 as our social media director — but it didn’t take long for her to become a company essential! Over time, she stepped into more roles and is now not only an instructor but also the one who keeps our studio sparkling clean each week. She plays a big part in our 3–4-year-old program and absolutely shines with our tiniest dancers. Fun, spunky, and full of energy, Valory creates a classroom vibe that’s equal parts playful and purposeful. We’re so thankful for her loyalty, dedication, and the joy she brings to the Rhythm team!

Instructor

Ms. Celeste, aka “The Hammer” (in the best way!), joined Rhythm’s coaching team in early 2023 after beating cancer — talk about strength and inspiration! Her daughters have been longtime Rhythm dancers, so welcoming her to the crew was a no-brainer. She teaches one of our 3–4-year-olds classes and the boys’ class, bringing positive energy and a genuine “mom” vibe to every lesson. Don’t let her kindness fool you though — her classes are structured and no-nonsense, which is why the dancers thrive under her guidance. Her routines always look sharp, clean, and polished. We’re so grateful for the powerful dynamic she brings to Rhythm DC!

Instructor

Elsie started with Rhythm DC in early 2024 as a junior instructor and quickly became one of our reliable and loved team members. After serving as a classroom aide, she stepped into her own class in Fall 2025 — and has been crushing it! A former Rhythm dancer herself, Elsie was helping out in classes before she even finished with her time as a student. She’s not only a kind and sweet soul, but also an incredible performer who always lit up the stage. Her love for dance shines through in her teaching, and the girls absolutely adore her. We’re so lucky to have her on our team!

Instructor

Wynn is truly Leah’s mini — she danced in her classes from the very beginning of her directorship in 2018 all the way through 2022. She was even part of the very first 8th Grade Farewell group! Now, in 2025, she’s come full circle as an instructor, and we couldn’t be more proud. Wynn is a strong teacher because she genuinely loves the girls — and they love her right back. She brings energy, laughter, and her signature “Chatty Kathy” charm into every class. As captain of the VV Ettes, her leadership shines both on the stage and in the studio. To know Wynn is to love her, and we’re so blessed to have her on the Rhythm DC team.

Instructor Aid

Jackie is a former Rhythm dancer with a kind, gentle presence that makes her a perfect fit for our shy or hesitant dancers. She creates a comforting space where kids can feel safe, seen, and start to build their confidence — just like she did!

Jackie is stepping into her own this season as an instructor aide, and we’ve loved watching her grow. She’s a beautiful, strong dancer with years of experience on her high school drill team. Since joining the Rhythm DC team in Fall 2025, she’s been such a calming, positive addition — and we’re so thankful to have her!

Instructor Aid

Amia is a former Rhythm DC dancer with an outgoing personality and a heart full of sunshine. She exudes confidence, kindness, and light — and we’re so excited to have her on our team!

Amia is a beautiful dancer (she always has been!) and continues to wow us as a performer with the VV Ettes. She’s a strong role model for our dancers — the perfect example of a kind, confident young woman. We know she’s going to grow into an incredible leader, and we’re so lucky to have her at Rhythm DC.

Instructor Aid

No, you're not seeing double. Mara is Amia's twin and we adore her just as much as we do Amia! Mara is the definition of dependable — always reliable, always kind, and always uplifting. A longtime Rhythm DC dancer, she brings grace, poise, and a quiet strength into the studio every time she walks through the door.

Mara radiates kindness and confidence, making her a wonderful role model for our younger dancers. She’s gracious, talented, and we’re truly honored to have her on our team. We can’t wait to see all the amazing things she brings to Rhythm!

RAD Instructor

Mallory is the powerhouse behind our adult drop-in classes — Rhythm After Dark! She brings all the empowering, girls-girl energy you could ask for, creating a space where moms (and all women!) can feel just as confident and celebrated as their daughters do in the studio. She pops into Rhythm a couple of times a month, and every class she leads is full of confidence, kindness, and connection. Mallory is gentle, uplifting, and such a special part of the Rhythm DC heart. We’re so thankful for the light and energy she brings to our adult dancers!

Junior Assistant

Aniyah just graduated from the Rhythm DC program and joined our teaching staff in Fall 2025 as a junior assistant — basically an aide/future instructor in training! She was handpicked out of many dancers for her loyalty, passion, and the confidence and grace she brings to the stage.

Aniyah has been a bright light in our dance studio for years, and we’re so excited to have her continue growing with us. Her love for dance is undeniable, and we know this is just the beginning of many more amazing years together. We love her big time!

Junior Assistant

Dylan has been with Rhythm since Anna’s living room days — truly an OG! Born to perform, she’s grown up in the studio and we’ve had the absolute joy of watching her blossom into a beautiful dancer and young woman. She just graduated from Rhythm DC and joined our coaching staff in Fall 2025 as a junior assistant. Dylan brings natural leadership, stage confidence, and a whole lot of heart. We’ve loved her since she was 3, and we’ll love her ‘til she’s 103 — because once you're part of the Rhythm Fam, you're locked in for life.
